According to the graph, the most common cause of bushfires are ones that are deliberately lit or suspicious. These two causes alone account for 50% of all bushfires. 35% of all bushfires are accidental. These bushfires could have resulted from lit cigarettes, bonfires, campfires, car fires from an accident or sparks from machinery. Natural causes account for 6% of all bushfires.
